Do I need to replace my shark vacuum filter?
Under normal usage, the HEPA Filter will require replacement once every three (3) months, however, vacuuming large amounts of extremely fine dust, powder or similar material over a long period of time may decrease airflow performance through the filter.
Can you wash a shark filter?
Shark doesn’t recommend washing felt filtersas they can get damaged easily. So, just tap them gently to loosen the dirt and wipe them clean. If you do choose to wash yours, soak them in soapy water just like their foam counterparts.
Can I wash shark HEPA filter?
To clean both the primary filter and the HEPA filter, hand wash with cold water only (the manufacturer does not recommend using soap). After rinsing, let both filters air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinstalling. Rinse the primary filter once every month, and the HEPA filter once every year.
Where are the filters on a shark vacuum?
Most Shark vacuum models have an additional filter—a HEPA filter. This is located on the lower front of the machine behind the filter grill (door). Firmly pull the door off to reveal the HEPA filter and pull out the filter. Rinse the filter well in clear water and allow it to dry fully.
